The second most populous city in the state and the sixth most populous city in Queensland, Australia. Gold Coast City is renowned for its sunny subtropical climate, popular surfing beaches, expansive waterway and canal systems, a skyline dominated by high-rise apartment buildings, active nightlife and wide variety of tourist attractions.
Major tourist attractions include internationally renowned:
THEME PARKS
Dreamworld
Website: www.dreamworld.com.au
It is currently Australia’s largest theme park. It is well known for being the location of the Big Brother Australia house.
You can experience one of the fastest, tallest, adrenalin pumping rides in the world - The Tower of Terror. Try a 120-metre drop, plummet back to earth in a five-second free fall on the Giant Drop, or swing nine stories high, spinning 360 degrees and experience zero gravity on The Claw.

If you prefer your thrills a little more sedate, you can cruise on a paddle wheeler, visit the home of Big Brother, see Bengal tigers playing, visit Nick Central or explore Wiggle World. A great family day out for all at Dreamworld.
Seaworld
Website: www.seaworld.com
Seaworld is a marine mammal park which includes rides, animal exhibits and other attractions, and promotes conservation through education and through the rescue and rehabilitation of sick, injured or orphaned wildlife.

Movieworld
Website: www.movieworld.com.au
Movie World is a theme park for those who like movies. With one of the best roller coasters on the coast and a good handful of movie related rides (think Bugs Bunny, think Scooby Doo, think Harry Potter, think Batman) Movie World lacks the range of Dreamworld, but makes up for it in ‘behind the scenes’ movie stuff and stunt shows to keep the whole family entertained for the best part of a day.
Wet n Wild Water Park
Website: wetnwild.myfun.com.au/
For the best water slides, wave pools and fun for the whole family. Australia’s largest, this water theme park has slides, pools, rides and entertainment.

SURF BEACHES
On the Gold Coast you will find beaches with attractive names like Palm Beach, Rainbow Bay, Mermaid Beach and Surfers Paradise. They have soft golden sand, rolling waves and are the perfect setting for a sunset walk along the shoreline.
Surfers Paradise
Surfers Paradise is the most frequented of the Gold Coast suburbs and symbolises what most people would associate with the region. It is known for offering a wide variety of entertainment. Street entertainers mingle with the crowds, you will find attractions such as wax works, multi media walk through experiences, amusement arcades, bowling, mini golf, parasailing, amphibious aquabus tours and even firearm shooting galleries.

I think we have the exact same ride here in southern California at Magic Mountain as the giant drop at Dream World. It’s called Superman here.
Too funny.
