Getting There
There are many means of transportation you can take from Tagbilaran pier or airport to Alona Beach in Tawala, Panglao. Metered taxis are the safest. But for those who love adventure, you can opt for the tricycles (motobikes with sidecar) or the habal-habal (motorbikes that can take four people the least).
Always, as usual, haggle with the price before taking the ride. Some drivers, although rare, outrageously charge high fares especially to tourists.
From Tagbilaran Pier/Airport
Take a metered taxi to Panglao Island. Tell the driver which resort you want and they know where it is. Most Boholanos know where Alona Beach is.
Please take note however that taxis charged 50% of the total meter reading when they travel outside city limits. Going to Pyramid will take about PhP380-400. Taxi companies charge you extra (about PhP75 per hour) if you let them wait, in case you want to go back to Tagbilaran City.
